Spoof Magazine Cover

Here’s an interesting National Geographic issue. To create the nice yellow border around the cover, I used the rectangle tool. Afterwards, I found this immensely attractive photo of Richard Simmons and Quick Selected him into the photo. I added the ancient civilization photo into the background. I copied and pasted a section of the mountain top using the Lasso tool to make the effect of the mountain appearing before the main title text. The FX tools Drop Shadow and Stroke were used to make the text more easily readable. This most beautiful surprise you may find in the upper right hand corner was made using the Quick Selection tool and the layer’s main opacity. Last, and certainly not least, I took my self photo and quick selected myself onto the top of the mountain and used the Match Color and Brightness adjustments to, well, adjust.
